My Story

Version 2I am a native New Englander who transplanted to south of the Mason Dixon in order to attend college. There I met a beautiful southern belle named Carrie and decided to stay a bit longer. Eventually, she agreed to be my bride and today we are parents to 3 hilariously, wild boys.

When we aren’t reading or riding bikes then we can be found exploring the Southern Appalachian mountains by foot, backpack, and tent.

In my life outside of home I have served at Montreat College and Toccoa Falls College as a Chaplain and professor of practical theology and ministry. I have been a church planter and an interim pastor and I currently serve as the Associate Coordinator of ITEN, an international ministry dedicated to theological education and leadership development among unreached people groups around the globe.

I am ordained in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church and I am a graduate of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (MDiv & DMin.). Whenever I can, I try to write- for myself, for this blog, and on occasion for the folks at Think Christian, Christ and Pop Culture, or TGC

Thanks for taking some time to look around, and please don’t hesitate to connect if you want to talk further about anything you read here.
